The books Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John together are referred to as The Gospels because they are the eyewitness accounts of Jesus’ followers when Jesus came and brought the Good News (aka the Gospel). Just like any eyewitness account today, it is only natural for some minor differences to occur. Each person has their own unique personality. They highlight and remember certain details more than others. But what is remarkable about the four Gospels in the Bible is that they have incredible harmony between them. The differences are differences of emphasis rather than content. The four Gospels have a remarkable amount of agreement between them, and fail to contradict each other.
