active vs. passive procrastination
Surprisingly, research shows that people who engage in active procrastination experience, productivity rates that are comparable to people who don’t procrastinate at all. Nevertheless people who engage in active procrastination, still experience increased anxiety.
active procrastination
This is the type of procrastination where people actively decide to wait until just before a deadline to work on something. This can be helpful for some people because the close deadline creates a sense of urgency, which then motivates them to work on the task.
passive procrastination
This is the type of procrastination where somebody sticks their head in the sand and choose not to think about the task or responsibility at all. Often people do this because they feel intimidated or overwhelmed by the task.
